Changing the display

The Display row decides what the drawing shows and how it's drawn. It has four tabs: Canvas, 2D, 3D and Levels.

To change what the canvas shows

Shown has checkboxes for Grid, Axes, Ground, Measurements, Hide demolished, Crop regions, Hidden geometry and Hide rest of model. Show reference lines reveals your construction lines, and Delete all reference lines clears them. Behaviour holds Magnetic snap and Orbit below ground. Appearance has a Canvas control with Light and Dark.

Controls that only mean something in one view are greyed out in the others, with a line saying why: "Only applies to the 3D view" or "Only applies to the plan".

To change how plan is drawn

  • Detail: Fine or Coarse.
  • Annotation: Full or Quiet.
  • Wall dimensions: Faces, Centre or Stud.
  • Cut plane (m), Thin lines and Furniture shadows.
  • A View range section, and an Annotations section with checkboxes for automatic dimensions, manual dimensions, measurements, door and window marks, structural grids, room labels and stair annotations.

To change how the 3D view is drawn

  • Render: Solid or Rendered.
