Making and editing materials

Make your own material, or take a copy of a catalogue one and change it, from the Library's Materials tab.

Click the Library pill and open Materials. Next to the category rail you'll find three tabs: Select, Edit and New.

To make a material

  1. Open the New tab.
  2. Fill in Name, Colour, Roughness, Metalness, Opacity and Side.
  3. Click Create material. It switches to Edit so you can keep adjusting.

To change a material

Pick it on Select, then open Edit. A material in your drawing edits in place. A catalogue material shows its Name, Colour, Roughness, Metalness, Opacity and Scale as a read-out; click Make editable copy and the copy is yours to change.
