Drawing lines and shapes in plan

Plan has its own drafting tools for 2D linework: lines, polylines, rectangles, circles, arcs and revision clouds.

In 2D the drafting tools sit on the left rail. In Split, click Draft on the Build toolbar and they appear there.

To draw a line or polyline

For a Line, click a start and an end point. For a Polyline, click each point in turn and double-click or press Escape to finish the run.

To draw a rectangle, circle or arc

Rectangle: click two opposite corners. Circle: click a centre, then click to set the radius. Arc: click a start and an end, then bulge the arc before the final click.

To mark a revision

Click Revision cloud and draw a boundary round the change. Enter commits it once you have three or more points. Revisions explains the register it belongs to.

Escape clears what you're drawing, and Escape again with nothing drawn leaves the tool. Line, polyline, circle and arc take typed values. Parameters holds the line style, including its Layer. For Hatch, see Hatches.
