Massing rectangles and circles

The Massing toolbar blocks out a scheme. A footprint you draw is a flat face until you push it up with Extrude.

Click the tab at the left edge of the bottom toolbar to switch to Massing. Its tools, in order, are Pencil, Rectangle, Circle, Polygon, Arc, Extrude, Axes, Offset, Eraser, Follow Me, Model text, Dimension, Reference line and Painting.

To draw a rectangle

  1. Click Rectangle.
  2. Click one corner, then the opposite corner. Or type a Width, then Depth, and press Enter.

To draw a circle

  1. Click Circle.
  2. Click the centre, then set the radius with a second click, or type a Radius and press Enter.

Over an existing wall or roof face, the same clicks draw inside that face, ready to punch through with Extrude.
