Sections, elevations and callouts

Sections, elevations and callouts are drawings cut from the same model. Draw the marker on the plan and the drawing exists.

Drawing one

  1. Open the Views chip at the top right.
  2. Click Add section, Add elevation or Add callout. If you're in 3D, Linea switches to Split so the plan is on screen.
  3. For a section, click twice to draw a line across the building; arrows preview which way it looks. For an elevation, drop a marker outside the building, then click to set the direction it faces. For a callout, click two corners of a rectangle on the plan.

Sections and elevations are named for you, Section <ref> and Elevation <ref>. You can draw a callout on a section, an elevation or another callout as well as on a plan.

Opening one

Open the Views chip and click the drawing's row. The list is grouped: floor plans, Site (Site plan and Location plan), Elevations, Sections, Callouts and Cameras. All views, at the foot of the list, opens the same thing in a modal. From 3D, picking a view takes you to 2D first. In Split, a section or elevation also turns the 3D camera to frame it.

Press Escape, or pick any other row, to leave a section or elevation.

Putting one on a sheet

Switch to Sheet and click the drawing in the tray's Views row. Adding views to a sheet has the detail.
