Working with levels

Levels are the storeys of a building. You add and rename them in the Levels chip or the Outliner.

Adding a level

In the Levels chip, small plus buttons appear as you hover: Add level above, Add level below and Insert level here. In the Outliner, the last row under the building is Add level. New levels default to a height of 2.5 m, and they're named Ground Floor, Floor 1, Floor 2 and so on upward, and Basement 1 downward.

Renaming, heights and order

  • Double-click a level's name in the chip to rename it, or open the row's Level options menu and choose Rename level.
  • The badge on each row opens a popover with Level height and Floor elevation sliders and presets. Floor elevation can go negative.
  • Drag the grip (Drag to reorder) to change the order.

Switching, duplicating and deleting

Click a level row in the Outliner to make it the active level. Level options also offers Duplicate level, Duplicate with options… (Everything, Structure only, Structure + materials or Structure + furniture) and Paste copied selection. Delete level removes a level; the ground level stays.

Moving something to another level

Select an element and open Parameters. The Level field lists the levels of its building; choose one and the element moves there in a single step, keeping its offsets.
