Saving, opening and copies

Linea saves as you draw. The Models modal is for choosing which model you're in.

Models

Click Models in the Files row. This model holds the name, which Enter commits and Escape reverts. Save now saves this second. Save as a copy starts a variant and leaves this model as it is. New model starts again from an empty site. Delete this model removes it.

Your models lists recent ones: the open one is marked Open now, the others show when they were last edited, and a click opens one. Pin or unpin a model with its pin button. See all your models shows the rest.

Clear this model empties the model and keeps its name. Linea asks first, because clearing is permanent; New model begins another and keeps this one.

A copy on your machine

  1. In the Files row, click Save a copy to disk. It writes a .linea file.
  2. To bring one back, click Load a copy from disk and pick the file. Linea shows a summary of what it holds before anything changes.

Loading replaces everything in the drawing, and it clears undo history. Import, then Linea file (.linea) is different: it adds a new drawing alongside the ones you have, and shows its name and counts first.
