Using the tray
The tray on the right holds the settings and reference material you consult while you draw. Each row folds open with its chevron.
To find a row
After the Outliner the rows run Project Info, Site, Parameters, Properties, Entity Info, Layers, References, Schedules, Cameras, Shadows, Styles, Display, Instructor and Files.
To set up the project
Project Info has three tabs: Details, Revisions and North. Site holds the site boundary and terrain tools; start with Setting the site location.
To change what you've selected
Parameters opens itself the first time you select something. Parameters, Properties and Entity Info says which row to reach for.
To control how the drawing looks
Display is covered in Changing the display, Styles in Drawing styles, and Shadows and Cameras in Sun and shadows and Saving camera views.
To get files in and out
Files opens Models, Import and Export, and keeps the save-a-copy and load-a-copy buttons. See Where files live.
To give the tray more room
Drag the tray's edge to resize it between 300 and 460 pixels. On a sheet, in Diagram view and in Render view the tray swaps to the rows that mode uses; on a sheet they are Page, Drawing, Pages, Views, Keys, Title block and Practice.
