Exporting a DWG or DXF
Export your drawing as a DWG with real linework on named layers, ready for a consultant to keep drawing in.
- Click Export in the Files row. The Output modal opens.
- In the CAD group, choose what to export in the dropdown: the full plan, a crop, a section or a saved view.
- Click DWG, or Export (DXF) for a DXF.
A DWG is written as release 2000 (R2000), and the converter checks its own output by reading it back and comparing entity counts. When Linea hands you a DXF in place of the DWG, it carries the same content as the DWG would have. A DXF export also offers Open in Vector in its toast.
A DXF up to 25 MB converts to DWG.
