Setting the site location

Give the site a location and Linea can fetch real ground levels, buildings, roads, water and green areas around it.

  1. Open the Site row and its Data tab. It reads No location set until you set one.
  2. Click Set location… and the Choose the area map opens. Search for a place or enter coordinates, then drag the rectangle to set the area.
  3. Confirm. Linea saves the location and area and starts the fetch.
  4. In the Fetch site data dialog, switch each result on or off and click Import site data.

You can also set the location on the Settings tab: search for a place or address, or choose Enter coordinates manually and give a latitude and longitude. Once it's set, Change location and Choose area… are there to adjust it.

What comes in

The dialog lists Ground elevation, Neighbouring buildings, Roads, Street names, Railways, Boundary walls, fences and hedges, Trees, Water and Green areas. Elevation shows its source and its vertical datum, and for Great Britain it states where model zero sits above Ordnance Datum. A collapsible Sources and licences section lists the attribution line that's printed on every drawing, sheet and DWG you export from the site.

Afterwards the Data tab has show and hide and lock toggles for each fetched set. The North tab of Project Info holds the Bearing and the North reference, Grid or True.
