Floors and ceilings

Floors and ceilings are drawn as an outline. Arm the tool and the bottom toolbar becomes a set of sketch tools for that outline.

To draw a floor or a ceiling

  1. Click Floor or Ceiling on the Build toolbar.
  2. Set its type and size in Parameters: a type picker and a Thickness slider for a floor, a type picker and a Height slider (1 to 6 m) for a ceiling.
  3. Draw the boundary with Line, Rectangle or Arc. To follow a wall, click Pick wall, then the wall.
  4. Close the loop and click Finish. It becomes available once the loop is closed.
  5. In the Level and offset prompt, choose the Level and an Offset, then click Confirm.

Each tool is one shot: once you've confirmed, it disarms. Along the sketch toolbar you'll also find Select, Align (pick two walls first), Join corners, Offset, Trim, Split, Join at corner and Cancel.

To edit one afterwards

Select the floor. Its panel has a Perimeter section with Edit perimeter, a Holes section where Add Hole cuts an opening, and floor presets Sunken, Thin, Standard and Thick.
