Moving the camera
Move around with the mouse, or arm one of the navigation tools on the left rail.
In 3D
- Drag with the middle button to orbit. Hold Shift as well to pan.
- Scroll to zoom toward the cursor.
- Right-click opens the context menu.
- Arm Orbit, Pan or Zoom on the rail and the left button does that job. Orbit: drag to swing the camera around the model. Zoom: drag up and down. Pan: drag to slide the view.
- Zoom extents fits the whole model into the view.
In plan
Drag with the middle button to pan, and scroll to zoom at the cursor. Rotate view, Orbit left 90° and Orbit right 90° turn the plan. Zoom extents works in every view, and on a sheet it fits the sheet.
Perspective or orthographic
Camera on the 3D tab of the Display row switches between Perspective and Orthographic. The Views chip shows which one you're in.
The Walk button at the top of the rail takes you into the model in first person; a hint on the shelf tells you how to leave.
