Saving camera views

The Cameras row keeps views you want to come back to and places cameras into the model.

  1. Open Cameras in the tray.
  2. In 3D or Split, click Use current view to save where you are now.
  3. Or click Place camera. In 3D or Split, click to place it and drag to aim; in plan, click the plan to place it.

The row's tabs are Cameras, Sky, Spawn and Publish. Show cameras in plan draws them on the drawing, and the list is headed Saved views with a count.

Each saved view has buttons for Look through (click a placed camera's row to step into it), Render from this camera, Lock camera or Unlock camera, Rename and Delete. Orthographic views also have Fit to model. While you're looking through a camera, a chip at the top left shows its name with an Exit camera view button.

Saved views also appear in the Views chip's Cameras group, and a camera can keep its own shadows; see Sun and shadows.
