Sun and shadows

The Shadows row sets the model's sun and how its shadows read. It's in Render view too.

To switch shadows on and tune them

Open Shadows, tick Shadows, and drag Lightness between -100 and +100 percent: plus lightens the shadows and minus darkens them.

To place the sun

Under Sun, choose Bearing and set North offset and Height, or choose Date and time and set Date and Time; a readout shows what you've picked. Linea uses London until the Site row has a location.

To cast shadows on elevations and sections

Choose From left or From right under Elevations and sections. Off removes them.

To give one camera its own light

The line at the top of the row tells you whose shadows you're editing, the model's or a camera's. A camera that keeps its own shadows has a Use the model's shadows button that hands it back to the model's.
