Dimensions and setting out

To reach them

Click Setting out on the Build toolbar. Its tiles are Reference line, Dimension, Spot level and Coordinate.

To dimension a distance

Click Dimension, then click two points. Linea dimensions the distance between them.

To annotate a level or a coordinate

In plan, click Spot level and click a point to annotate its level relative to the datum, or click Coordinate and click a point to annotate its grid coordinate.

To draw a reference line

Click Reference line and click to draw a non-printing reference line.

The Massing toolbar has its own Dimension and Reference line for working in 3D. There, Reference line offsets a parallel line from an edge or draws one from a point, and Dimension takes a witness point at each end and then places the dimension line. Type the offset to set it exactly.
