Doors, openings and windows

Doors, openings and windows all go into walls. Arm the tool, click the wall, and the hole is cut for you.

To place a door

  1. Click Door on the Build toolbar.
  2. In Parameters, choose the Door type, Width, Height, Facing (Front or Back), Hinge side (Left or Right) and frame colour.
  3. Click a wall.

Placement is Place once or Place multiple. A door stays armed by default, so you can drop several in a row.

To cut an opening

Click Opening and click a wall: a frameless hole is cut. Its Parameters are Door type, Head (Flat, Arched or Rounded), Width and Height, with Arch height when the head is arched.

To place a window

Click Window, then click a wall. Parameters holds Window type, Width, Height, Sill height, Facing, frame colour and Placement.

To place at an exact position

With the pointer over a wall, type a number and press Enter. The prompt reads From start for a door or opening, and From start then Centre height for a window (Tab moves between them). If a position would overlap another opening, Linea says so: "That position overlaps another opening." Choose another spot along the wall.
